Thanks Rick, you answered my question perfectly.

: A husband buys a property and has a deed of trust.
: Later he adds his wife or partner to the Grant Deed so that they are Community property or Joint Tenants.

: Question, if his wife or partner had judgements against them BEFORE the first deed of trust, does this mean they have to be paid off after foreclosure?

: Seems odd that the owner could add someone to the grant deed and therefore move the first mortgage to a jr. status.
