SoCal Trustee Sale Purchase / Lis Pendens Dilemma

Posted by CINCA on June 25, 2009 at 3:50 PM

I purchased a home at trustee sale on June 23rd and found out today that there was a lis pendens filed a few days before the sale (it didn't show up when I did my title search).

Apparently the homeowner is suing his lender.

Any suggestion on what to do? I had a 3-Day Notice served and that's when I got a call from their lawyer telling me about the suit.

Do I just need to wait this one out or can I be proactive? Their lawyer told me it would be at least 6 months before this was cleared up... I haven't received the deed yet.

Thanks!
