Re: Worst Lockout ever - attorney gave fake federal court order to Sheriff to halt lockoutIn Reply to: Worst Lockout ever - attorney gave fake federal court order to Sheriff to halt lockout posted by Cyrus on June 20, 2009 at 2:08 PM Cyrus: was the attorney who providing help to the foreclosed owners someone who advertises themselves as foreclosure specialist or short sale specialist? The reason I ask is that I've spoken with two different foreclosed owners in the last month who hired attorneys, and paid big fees, and the attorneys really didn't know what they were doing. Especially the short sale specialist, who failed to notice that the property was sold and never checked the trustee's sale line to find out when it was for sale. Please, please file a complaint with the CA bar or your DA. Pulling stunts like presenting docs that weren't ever really orders is SO BAD. I know it takes some time and you probably want to move on but it's important that this guy and/or his company be put out of commission.
: This was the Pasadena Sheriff dept which is so much more helpful and by far more intelligent than the monkeys in downtown LA. The sheriff did a pacer search and did not find the TRO. They called on Friday telling us about it and said this would delay everything, but then called on Monday morning and asked how quickly we could show up for the lockout. : They had contacted the federal judge's clerk who had stated the signature did not match. The clerk had shown the order to the judge who confirmed he had never issued such order. : : They showed up after I had sent my helper to buy more padlocks and chains. I was cautious enough to screw shut the loose backdoor with L-brackets. What followed was a scene with them trying to get in and me holding their little dogs, rabbits and what have ya and calling the cops. : I had the house bagged up by the evening and by the next day they were calm enough to take the stuff in a truck. : By far, the worst lockout I have had, all due to some insane attorney. : I still cannot believe the attorney had risked his license with such a stupid move. I am just happy to have possession finally.
