You're sending him the wrong message, which is that there is a snowball's chance in hell, donkeys do fly, etc. By sending a clear, consistent message, you'll created an environment for which the former owner will begin to see and feel the unlikeliness of his fantasy. The more you feed his fantasy by going along with it, the harder and later it's going to be for the fog to lift and for the former owner to get into reality. As for the attorney, his job is to try to keep his client in the property for as long as possible (providing his checks keep coming). He'll stall and do all manners of tricks for you; maybe even stand up on his hind legs. This doesn't preclude the former owner from performing if he can. However, the more you encourage him, the more difficult it's gonna be. As for the attorney, it's best to paper train him. Place several sheets of paper where you want them to sit. Now, be consistent because they're not quick learners. If the attorney moves, make that Caesar Millin (Dog Whisperer) "Shsssd" sound. I don't know what it'll do but he make think you're the alpha of the pack And don't forget to use the rolled up newspaper on his nose if he soils your carpet. Gee!
