Re: My Broken record speech to you...In Reply to: My Broken record speech to you... posted by Rick, the Probate Guy on June 10, 2009 at 7:15 AM hi rick, most untried things are considered to be a "waste of time" by the majority of people, including myself. and usually that majority ends up being correct. once in awhile, someone who shoots from the hip is successful. then we all add that tool to our repertoire. can you imagine how crazy most people thought that orville and wilbur wright were ? an attempt to get the irs to stop an unfair tactic pales in comparison to their pursuit of flying in an airplane. in the early 50s, the entire medical community was labeling jack lalanne a "dangerous kook" for exercising too much. that entire community was telling us, the public, that we would wear ourselves out. an attempt to get the irs to stop an unfair tactic pales in comparison to going against the advice of the entire medical community. there was a time when people thought it was crazy that we would ever have income tax, to begin with. but as our govt became larger and larger, and more intrusive, the irs and income tax was created. would i be successful at getting that policy terminated with a class action suit ? probably not. but dont forget that most of the things that we know and use today have come about because someone who shoots from the hip accomplished something that the majority felt was a waste of time.
