I haven't seen Mead's full course so I can't comment on that product. I do have his "booklet" which is, well, thin and "light" on the details.

Gary's course I do have. I should disclose that Gary's a friend of mine and we plan to do some seminars together late this year in both NorCal and SoCal.

Gary's Diamond Farming course is essentially a four-pronged system that focuses on what we call full power sales in CA. Gary's program shows you how to pull probates from the courthouse, contact the admin, make an offer and if the offer isn't accepted, he tell you how to get a listing as a backup plan and salvage some money for your efforts. His system probably works best for agents and broker licensees.

Gary and I often laugh because, in his words, "he likes 'em mild and Rick likes them wild." He's probably right, since I do an awful lot of deals, both prior to probate, during and after, and with a lot more unusual circumstances. Also, I think that Gary would concede that I use many more tools and not afraid to work probates in foreclosure, title problems, etc.

You ultimately have to make the call however, if you're serious about investing in probates, there's an awful lot to learn and very limited material of any real value available. When I started probates, there was nothing. I've bought most everything along the way, good and bad, and just treat the junk as a write-off (what else can you do?).
