brewskies or no brewskies.:)

: : : Jonas asked: Will I be able to stay in the property past August 1st like you would be able to do in a foreclosure?

: : : Simply put, no. The house has been sold to a private individual who will immediately take possession. If the property has been purchased by an investor, you may be able to stay, but at no less than market rent.

: : Thanks to Obama, now tenants get 90 days FREE after foreclosure!!!

: GO LAKERS. I've had a few brewskies. The answer to the OPs question of what is a Short Sale:

: If the landlord is closing an Escrow on August 1st and the new buyer wants possession of the property you will need to move. If the property is going to foreclosure sale you will now get 90 days in the property free before the new owners can evict you. Does that make sense?
