Posted by jonas on June 04, 2009 at 5:17 PM Hi, Can someone please explain to me in lamens terms the whole short sale thing? Is it similiar to a foreclosure? I heard that if you are in foreclosure once your house actually forecloses or is auctioned off, you still have about a 6-12 months that you can live in the house. is this true and would this apply to someone that is renting a home thats in shortsale? I need a temporary place to stay, someone is going to rent me their house for cheap while its on shortsale, it is scheduled to be sold AUG 1st, and no one has lived in the property for about 6-7 months. Will I be able to stay in the property passed AUG 1st like you would be able to do in a foreclosure? Follow Ups: Re: RENTING A HOUSE ON SHORT SALE???
