You're not alone in losing out to many others trying to buy limited properties in some of the more desireable areas. Most properties that I have either listed or been the buyer's agent have at least 10-15 people making a written offer. With the latest data on the increase in NOD's, I suspect we will begin to see more inventory and make it easier for the buyer who needs financing to purchase a home. I also list REO's (in So Cal) and have to weed through the stacks of offers and pick the highest and best. I have found some agents to be great to work with, very proactive and on top of things and others who either don't know or don't care. It sounds like you need to get a better agent.
