: Hey, thanks for the agreements. If I see any of those signs I run to the center aisle, to the back of the room and keep going right out the door. I'm not kidding either. I was once chased down by a certain trust guru's henchmen!

: In reference to your (Rick's) analogy, we can also say that you can learn a lot about an airplane from sitting in a classroom and reading a book can't we? Now we both have cute analogies!

: My philosophy is and has been if you are really going to do it, there is no time like the present. If you don't know how to put something together, but you believe there is something there to be had I am sure you will find someone (copilot) willing to help you out in exchange for a piece of the action. Sitting on your laurels in seminars reading books won't ever get you a deal and it certainly won't ever help you learn to fly a plane.
: To quote Dan Doran "education without implementation is just entertainment" and I have no qualms calling that guy a guru with a pitch!

: But for the record, I think you don't know Pete at all because if you did you certainly wouldn't refer to him as "a guru who flew in from Florida for a free pitch". That being said, you probably don't know Mike that well either. Maybe you should check Pete out too. You just might be singing a new song on the 3rd.

I take back the Florida statement. I was referring to certain Floridian gurus that only make their money from selling tapes. I remember one guy that flew in pitching Short Sales in 2004 & 2005. There were very few Short Sale deals in Cali during those years. Personally I think if you are going to work the California market you should be trained by someone who knows the California market.
