I must admit that I noticed a couple supposed "gurus" on his
"hit" list and without going into detail, I must admit that
I agree with his "frank" comments. I notice that he makes
great effort to explain his "opinions" and he does cite info
he gets from others, etc., so for the most part he seems to
put great effort into explaining why he has a negative review
on any particular "guru". I cannot comment why he would be
harsh on a "guru" without reason. I just sense that he is on
some kind of mission to shelter newbies from the leeches out
there, and I am finding out there are hundreds of them in all
shapes and sizes. Thank you for the feed-back.

: Many people confuse the word "honestly" when they really mean "frankly."

: I'm very familiar with Jack Reed. His opinions are merely that. His opinions.

: Based on the 5 or 6 of his books that I've read, there is not one single active real estate investor on this board or anywhere else that would measure up to where his moral standards bar is set (I just left spending the last 3-1/2 days with John Schaub, too). Per Reed's own words, he believes that anyone who pays a seller anything less than 80% of market value is taking advantage of the seller. Period.

: I don't think that Reed is any more qualified to judge or comment on people who are real estate educators than anyone else who posts on this or any other board. And his harsh treatment of people that I personally know to be other than what he states is just a lot hot air from a very unhappy, angry person. Sad, it is.

: Ask him how his current investments are doing and he'll probably change the subject. You figure out why.

: I have a strong negative opinion about Reed because he somehow believes that he's above the rest of us 'in-the-trenches' investors.

: Having a strong negative opinion does not mean he is being honest, merely that he is candid (if not reckless).
