Re: RENTERS IN FORECLOSUREIn Reply to: RENTERS IN FORECLOSURE posted by jonas on May 11, 2009 at 10:05 PM Jonas I would explore your house sitting services idea some more. There are some websites that look for house sitters. When one of my sons was in college a classmate went all the way through to graduation on odd living arrangements. He sat houses looking after pets while the owners were on vacation, he had access to a travel trailer and some builders would give him a space to park it along with a electricity and water connection and he would be an informal security guard. I have personally used some college kids to stay in houses I was rehabbing as security, I gave them one room to use and put a lock on the door for their privacy. Informal arrangements that worked out. I'm surprised lenders don't do it, of course the copper thieves, and the appliance stealer's, and vandals are against the idea. BTI
