Re: Light on detailsIn Reply to: Light on details posted by Tom on May 12, 2009 at 3:18 PM Maybe. When I re-read ET's post, I think s/he's coming from the position of an asset manager-type person who has an REO in inventory with an L.P. Since you won't know until you know (I learned to talk like that at CSUF), you'll need to search and pull up any additional filing for a case or get the L.P. expunged assuming it was "punged" in the first place (sorry, couldn't resist). Anyone can file a Lis Pendens for the price of a filing fee just to slow up the process. You don't really know if you'll expect a case until you either get a copy of any moving papers or perhaps contact the attorney, if identified on the L.P. If filed In Pro Per/Pro Se, then you'll need to decide whether you've got a tiger by the tail or if you just want to go the Expunge or even Quiet Title court route.
