CA foreclosure question about second

Posted by JP on May 12, 2009 at 6:43 AM

I am in in CA and my home is worth (approx $650K Zillow) 1st loan ($625K) just went into foreclosure for missing 6 payments. My second (wamu/bofa approx $160k) is about 10 payments behind. I am in a position to reinstate the 1st loan & bring it current. My question is on the second. Is there any way to contact wamu/bofa & let them know that my house if in foreclosure to try to reduce OR eliminate their loan. IS this possible to do. I still do want to live in the house. Any suggestions would help.
