If they're heirs, I'd also argue that, pursuant to probate code whereby title to assets transfer immediately upon the death of the decedent, subject to the administration of the estate, that they are owners. Now that I've said that, based on your past (not so great) luck with the U/D court in your county, I'd give them the 3/60 day notice. Push them for the 3 day but leave the big decision for the attorney. Did you ever get an attorney to help you there? How about asking Fixer Jay?
