Keith,

You now own the property and need to move forward with getting control of it so you can either resell or rent it out.

I agree with Dond, that most of the time an ex-owner's threats don't amount to much more than bluster—principally because they don't have enough money to mount a knock-down legal battle.

So you need to get on with getting on in this declining real estate market.
