[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ The Forum Board ] [ FAQ ] Holdover owner sueing to retain possession Posted by Keith on May 03, 2009 at 8:25 AM As the foreclosing lender on a 2nd Note, I recently received title to a property since so no one bid at the sale. Upon serving the 3-day notice to vacate, I was notified by the previous owner that he intends to sue basically over every part of the lending process as well as fight the unlawful detainer. My question is this: how will this affect the unlawful detainer process? If I had been an investor instead of the beneficiary, I'd have nothing to do with the owners previous loans.
