I've looked at probably half, many in Nor Cal. What area are you in? The bid usually doesn't get reduced until right before. Even with reduced bids, lenders are still taking almost everything back. I called today about one for sale tomorrow: minimum bid is less than 50% of loan amount. 99% certain it will go back lender tomorrow. Kristine I heard Ward mention that some note holders were lowering the opening bid on the day or near the day of the auction. To perhaps lower than the stated amount on the note. Did I hear this correctly? I have not noticed this in my area of NorCal.
