re: somewhere is wrong with TS, but not sure

Posted by Skimmer on April 18, 2009 at 6:27 PM

I posted following last week, and didn't get any response. I had a chance to talk to the bidder this week about the house he bought. He said his title officer is still looking at it to see what the problem really is, but no conclusion yet. But he was told it may take a year to clean the title, since it is definitely wrong somewhere. He said he just hopes the sale rescinded, and gets his money back.

somewhere is wrong with TS, but not sure

There is a Trustee Sale this week in my county. I did title research, not very confident about what happened, so I didn't bid. One guy got it. Still not sure what happened, somewhere is wrong.

FITES: 1990
TD (300k): 1990

Refinance in 2004, title company involved, TDs:
TD1 (600k): 2004
TD2 (120k): 2004

TD1 went to trustee sale earlier this year, went to bank, trusee deed was recorded in Jan 2009, and delares it is 1st position.

Today TD (1990) went to sale ....

Looks like when refi in 2005, TD (1990) was not paid off. Escrow and title company errors? Apparently somewhere went wrong, but I don't know. So I passed this one.

Any ideas?
