"If you can afford the payment, the honorable thing is to continue paying regardless of the current value of the property."


Then why do the banks walk away and leave taxpayer holding the bag? Why don't they do the honorable thing and "take the loss on the chin"? The Homeowner considerers doing exactly the same thing and suddenly then the homeowners a deadbeat; seems like a double standard to me.
