Investors buy short sales all day long. The restrictions come when borrowing money. Lenders have all kinds of policies these days that get in the way of a deal closing. If you're a cash buyer, no problem. If not, make sure your lender understands that you are buying as an investment and not as a personal residence. They'll then find the right loan product for you.
