: : I was working with a scam artist for a loan modification, turns
: : out they never contacted the bank and I got forclosed a few days
: : ago. I have been searching the net if I have any options left
: : to stay in my house. Has anyone heard of post forclosure loan
: : modification ? or if I ask them to produce the deed will that
: : still work after forclosure sale ? My relative also spoke to an
: : attorney and they said they could cloud the title so the bank
: : can be forced to modify, he wants money to do that but I dont
: : want to be scammed out of more money. Any info will be
: : appreciated.

: Clouding the title will not force a bank to modify a lien that no longer exists. Your original lien has been wiped off the property due to the foreclosure. You would be better served to use whatever money you were thinking of spending on an attorney towards rent and moving costs.

At this point your best bet is to attack the mechanics of the sale - a real uphill battle. Take a good look at the cash for keys offer which should come any time now.
