The US dollar is rapidly loosing value. Inflation is skyrocketing. Within a couple of years the US dollar could be worth 50% of what it is today. The 250K you owe will seem like the equivalent of 125K today. But with interest lower then inflation, the banks will be taking huge losses and many will collapse. It's all a big gamble. Good luck.
