: You're most probably not a deadbeat nor a victim of predatory lending. You made a mistake. Accept it and move on. You'll be a happier person to live with. Be a good example for your children and family.

: As to your question, I've never heard of lenders going after the legal expenses. They can recoup them if there's equity in the house, which hurts the second if it's different from the first.
