: Why are you putting MH paper in your Roth? I suspect that its for the interest to grow tax-free or in other words greed. Do you want/need the funds to be there when you retire? People who finance MH are the greatest at risk in a recession. 2) IRA, 401-K, etc are trusteed accounts and exempt from bankruptcy and I believe attachments, so they aren't attachable like land is. That's the biggest reason for land trusts. There are millions who were motivated by greed during the RE boom and now regret it putting it mildly. I suspect greed will prevail.
