Is it legal to charge a fee for short sale service in california? I would like to offer a service for homeowners in foreclosure. I would charge a small retainer fee and collect a commission upon closing. I would negotiate a short sale with the bank and I would assist in finding an end buyer by listing the property with a Realtor. Is this legal? Can I get into trouble with code 2945? Any suggestions, input? I don't want to do a diservice to anyone.
