Re: FYI: Countrywide & Chase have frozen HELOC balances!In Reply to: Re: FYI: Countrywide & Chase have frozen HELOC balances! posted by Jerry - Ca. on April 06, 2008 at 11:35 AM thanks jerry, i was looking at it as being the lender, not the borrower. and that is exactly what i didnt like. i am supposed to have the full amount available for the borrower to use, but i only get interest income on the part that is used. the interest rate is high. and brokers like to claim that the borrower is almost always fully leveraged. but i just dont need to play those sorts of games, so i dont - lol. i am also wiling to bet that as an individual lender, i dont have the same clout that the banking industry has - lol.
