: is that common with helocs ? i am approached all the time with them, but dont even consider them.

: cuz i dont want to be obligated to the full loan amount, while only getting interest on some portion of it.

I had no idea they could suspend/freeze the unused balance of your line of credit either!

Just for your info. ... you only pay interest on the amount of the HELOC funds you use ... NOT the enire approved borrowing amount!
