Owned my own truck until a few weeks ago, have to get a company job now paying much less. House right behind me sold for $265 a month or 2 ago, very similar to mine. I have a few addons like a sunroom and huge master bedroom(25x25). 1st and 2nd mortgage totals $220k. House needs minor work, like some wallboard panels replaced, reface kitchen cabinets maybe, etc. It's a 4br, 2.5bath btw. Sunroom, living room, dining room, laundry room, 2nd living room, garage also, if that makes any difference. The 1st mortgage(around $180k) is now 2 months over since Apr 1. 2nd mortgage($40k) is about 4 months over. 2nd mortgage company offered to settle for $13k last year, so maybe there's something to be worked out there. I haven't approached any realtors yet, figured I'd ask here first. At this point, I'm looking to move to a 2br apartment in another part of the country, and I'd be happy to get out with moving costs and a few thousand to get situated. What do you think?
