I've met SEVERAL escrow AND title officers AND even title reps that KNOW about THT (aka land trusts). I'm not denying that Ward and Craig are 100% correct, but I will deny that your scope of reality is 100% accurate regarding other's people knowledge about THT's. Because what you are telling me is that by having "talked to a number of title reps", you are qualified to discount my experience. Think again. YOu don't know what YOUR talking about, if you think that just by speaking with title REPS (the lowest people in the food chain) and a real estate broker (a step above title reps in the food chain)....that your empirical data encapsulates all there is to know about the general knowledge of THTs in the industry. You've gotta talk to the right folks, baby. I imagine that you are a tyro in the foreclosure biz. I would encourage you to continue "talking to" more title people. Particularly, the title OFFICER's!
