Foreclosure in Ohio

Over four years ago, our house was foreclosed on, house went to sheriff sale, no sale, then the lender/mortgage co. had their forecloser vacated and dismissed in common pleas court. Just found out a couple of months ago that we owned the house these past four years. The original lender and their successors are all out of business. It looks like the lender, using the guise of no equity as their excuse for vacating the foreclosure, has abandoned the property and left it to be sold for back taxes. We intend on moving back in and start paying on the property taxes-any ideas? In Ohio, if a property is foreclosed on but not sold, does it still go to the bank or stay in the owner's name until it is actually sold in the sheriff sale?
