Possible, but not likely. After all, there would be a pretty long paper trail.

I've known a few HM lenders and bail bondsmen to conduct their own sales in past years. They like the control :)

If you have any doubt, do your research prior, make certain that you have a system to recognize the pub & post company up front, and ask for ID from cryer. If s/he tells you to "compress beach silt" then you must decide what your tolerance for risk is.
