May 09, 2012 03:31PM

Bid Chilling is a violation of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act and has now getting a lot of Federal Attention.

Recently in Mobile, AL a company was fined $250,000 and ordered to pay restitution for fixing foreclosure auctions. The company owner and his partner both plead guilty and face up to six months in jail in additon to the fines and restitution.

Additionally a third investor plead guilty and was fined $,5000 and ordered to pay $21,334 in restitution.
