Sounds to me like you are in one of the six community property states.

That being the case there is little to nothing you can do to keep your wife from holding some interest in whatever you purchase.

It being understood that the funds are since your marriage.

However if you can prove they are your separate funds, accrued prior to the marriage and kept separate, you may have a chance to do something..
