Ohio foreclosure question

August 11, 2016 02:33PM
I'm concerned about what is happening with my Ohio foreclosure. I check on my foreclosure regularly at my county court's website. The sheriff sale was last month - July 8 and the sheriff confirmed the sale to the court that same day. The house was bought by the lender. I read that the court then has 30 days to confirm the sale after that, but as of today, 33 days later, it hasn't happened.

My question is what happens if that isn't done on time? Can the lender abandon the sale? I worried about being stuck with a property in limbo. Is it possible for the process to continue if that step wasn't taken in the required time?
