Doubt if you’ll find such law. Have you contacted the HO? Your analysis was better than a rookie, more like a sophomore, but you’ve made way too many faulty assumptions given the risk for a guy who’s been bidding at trustee sales for 12 years. How much did you pay for the second? What did you guess the first balance to be before potential late fees, etc? Do you know if the first is in foreclosure? What is the house’s value - conservatively!!!? Even if you consistently used worse case scenarios this one potentially could blow up in your face, because there are so many unknowns.
